Module 13: Grounding Systems; Copper Grid, Cadwelds, and Resistance Testing
The grounding system is the safety infrastructure that no one sees and almost no one thinks about until something goes wrong. A correctly installed grounding system performs silently for twenty years. An incorrectly installed one fails during the first ground fault event, with consequences that can include personnel injury, equipment damage, and thermal events that a correctly grounded system would have prevented. This module covers how the grounding system works, how it is built, how it is tested, and how its installation is documented.
